On Friday 15th November the entire Veblen team ventured out to 4160Tuesdays for one of our many team days out. Based in London, they are an independent micro-perfumery that has specialised in hand-making exceptional scents since 2011.
We started off the day with a lovely breakfast at The Ivy Market Grill in Covent Garden where we were greeted by a surprise ballerina performance (a very unusual, but welcome piece of morning entertainment in a somewhat gloomy London), before heading off to our perfume making workshop.
Our lovely resourcer Mita has offered to share her thoughts of the day, and in turn, we’re sure you’ll be convinced to give it a go yourselves:
“Last week I went to an amazing fragrance workshop at 4160Tuesdays as a part of a fantastic team day out with Veblen International. Sarah McCartney ran the workshop and it was a very informative and fun afternoon which ended in taking home a lovely bottle of perfume that I made. It has top notes of lavender, vanilla and a hint of dark chocolate, which is a strange concoction, but I promise it actually smells really good! I would definitely recommend checking out this workshop, as a team activity, a birthday present or simply a treat for yourself! The company also make the most beautiful and unique fragrances, so I would recommend having a look at those as well!“
You can see pictures from our workshop experience on the official Veblen Instagram.
Have you tried something similar? What concoctions did you come up with? We’d love to hear about them!
